I wrote about this last year but felt it was worth repeating…
Now that you’ve taken care of the lingering sticky note reminding you to get that quote done, you’ve received enough of them back to begin the task of comparing the details. Which has the best price? Are they offering the same services for the pricing offered, etc.? Is their quality up to your standards? You know the drill. One thing to keep in mind is the famous quote: _“The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.”_ (Some say it was written by Benjamin Franklin but that is up for review on the Internet. Still a great line.)
I read this quote years ago in, of all places, a yellow page phone book…do you remember those? Pretty archaic these days but this quote stayed in my mind forever. And it’s true of anything, the new vacuum cleaner, auto detailer’s work, your kid’s math tutor…but especially for your parts. They have to fit in with all the other components and one error can throw the whole project into utter chaos. So, make sure you are getting the best value for your dollars. Scrutinize those quotes thoroughly and take everything into consideration, not just the lowest price. (I know you knew that already…I just wanted a chance to use my favorite quote:)
Enjoy this beautiful day!
